How long is the life of the filter?
The life of the filter in your mask depends on many factors such as the intensity of use, how polluted is the environment, and how often. A good sign to change the filter is when you see that it gets darker or when breathing starts to get more difficult. Our masks are made for sports in a polluted environment but if they are used in a clean environment, it allows the filter to last up to one or one and a half months.
How often can you wash the textile layer?
Our masks are made for multiple uses, so you can wash the outer layer as often as you want. Our recommendation is to wash by hand and in low-temperature regimes in order to preserve the life of the textile as long as possible.
Can I disinfect the filter?
Our masks are equipped with multi-component filters that do not require additional treatment before or after using the mask. If you still decide to treat the filter, the best way to do it is to place it under UV light or a germicidal lamp for about 30 minutes. Another possible option is to use alcoholic or alcoholic solutions, which we do NOT recommend, as they can damage the electrostatic microfibers that are in the filter itself, and thus reduce the effectiveness of the whole mask.
How can we wash the valves?
The valves can be washed under running water unlimited times.

What goas into a good filter mask?
The meltblown is the main filtering material in high-quality masks and FFP respirators. This material has electrostatically charged microfibers, that makes masks absorb fine particles and aerosols with a range of 0.3 microns (μm) and less. Active carbon also improves filtration further but the quality of the meltblown usually determines the filtration capacity.
Is this mask effective against smog?
Yes! The multi-layer filter media provides progressively compressed fiber layers to capture a broad range of air pollution particles. The FFP tests assure that this mask can filter fine particles such as PM2.5 and even PM 0.3.
Is this mask effective against viruses?
Yes! Laboratory tests show that this mask restricts the flow of respiratory droplets and aerosols (visible and invisible) that can carry virus (coronavirus) particles from an infected person into the air.
This is the reason why FFP2 masks are largely used on healthcare workers that work at the front of the pandemic of Covid 19.
